HOW CHARITIES CAN ACHIEVE A SECOND STREAM INCOME

Up to 50% ($10) of the $20 card price is available for fundraising organizations distributing the card.
10% of Merchants discounts are paid into a charity account. 50% of these are paid to Variety - The Children's Charity. The balance of the charity account is shared amongst the charity participants broadly in proportion to their activities and card volumes.

Since Variety- The Children's Charity's inception in BC in 1965 they have raised more than $110 million to support BC's children with special needs. The funding has assisted with the purchase of hospital equipment in paediatrics and neo-natal intensive care units, specially equipped Sunshine Coaches, partnerships with the Vancouver Oral Centre, Down Syndrome Research Foundation, BC Family Hearing Resource Centre, BC's Children's Hospital, Canuck Place and with individual children whose special needs fall outside of government and agency funding guidelines.

HOPE International Development Agency is a non-profit international development organization based in New Westminster, British Columbia, on the west coast of Canada. Working in Africa, Asia, and the Americas in such countries as Ethiopia, Cambodia, India and the Dominican Republic, HOPE undertakes and supports people-oriented projects. These projects empower people and communities in need. Many projects focus on the provision of clean and safe water, sustainable living, primary health and sanitation, and the environment. The projects of HOPE are accomplished with the help of volunteers and the skills of the local people overseas, combined with the generosity of people here who care. It is HOPE's aim to offer hope to the poverty-stricken and hungry: those whose present circumstances afford them none.
